Description:

Facilitated By Cory Laverty and Klodiana Kolomitro, Centre for Teaching and Learning

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) involves the systematic study of questions related to student learning and/or teaching practice. Leaders in teaching and learning at Queen's have identified several pressing issues on our campus. This session will share these themes as a basis for investigation and invites participants to walk through the steps of a proposed study in response to one of these issues. Individuals can choose to work in groups based on disciplinary or study interests. Alternatively, those with a study in mind, can use this working session to develop it further. The process will be guided by supporting principles during question formulation, literature review, research design, selection of methods, and ethics approval.
