Description:
Books in Shakespeare's Heart, an exhibition of 16th and 17th century books that served as inspiration for Shakespeare's plays, including historical accounts, classic texts, and popular stories, in the very same editions that Shakespeare would have read. This exhibition opening coincides with the 'Training the Early Modern Heart' conference hosted by the Department of English Literature and Creative Writing.
Books in Shakespeare's Heart will run from July 29 to October 10 at W.D. Jordan Rare Books and Special Collections in Douglas Library (open Monday-Friday until 4:30pm).
