Guinness World Record Breaking Attempt - Largest Human Letter

When:
Tuesday, September 6, 2016
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Where:
Nixon Field
Find on Campus Map
Description:

We are attempting to set the Guinness World Record for largest human letter (a giant Q)! The current record for this is 2,166 people – if anyone can beat that record, it's Queen’s!

This event is for all members of the Queen’s Community and is free to attend. It is a completely accessible event; on the day of the event, please let our volunteers know if you require assistance.

Here are some of the details you will need to know:

  • We have a field capacity of 4,000 participants, so be sure to arrive on time to be a part of this! The gate will open at 2 pm.
  • Guinness World Records requires that everyone be wearing one solid colour to be a part of the giant “Q”. We will be giving a FREE gold t-shirt to the first 4,000 participants (sizing is based on a first come, first served basis). If you would prefer to wear your own shirt, please wear a yellow/gold shirt in order to be a part of the attempt. A gold shirt must be worn to participate.
  • There will be controlled and limited access in and out of the field to track our participant numbers. There will be one official entry point for counting participants and receiving your gold t-shirt. Please only use the official entrance so we can verify numbers.
  • We are breaking the record rain or shine! This event is only cancelled if there is lightning, thunderstorms or unsafe weather.
