The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is a tool used to give a person an impression of his or her intercultural competence. Prior to this workshop participants will be asked to complete a 50-question online inventory. In the workshop they will learn about the theory that supports the IDI, and they will be presented with the group's results or 'IDI Profile'. They will also learn what the results indicate about the intercultural strengths they possess as well as the challenges they may face – and how to meet those challenges in a positive way. After the session, each participant will have the opportunity to receive their personal profile electronically and to discuss it with the facilitator one-on-one.
