Interested about how research on the military is changing? Attend – virtually or in person – to the CIDP’s conference “From the Margins and Outside the Box: New Perspectives on Researching the Military.” On December 1st, experts, and defence researchers from around the globe will discuss about how the research on the military is evolving, when it comes to either approaches or topics, and where it is going. Among the topics addressed during the day: participatory research within the military institution; the study of lived experiences of servicemembers; diversity and inclusion in the armed forces; capturing institutional evolution; the performance of gendered and sexual identities; the changing relationship between the state and the military; as well as the different faces of researching the military.

The conference is hybrid. Public is welcomed either in person or virtually.

This is a bilingual event. Live interpretation will be available to all attendees.
