The Government Closest to the People – Your Career in Municipal Government

Presenter: Kelly Pender, Chief Administrative Officer, County of Frontenac

Kelly began his municipal career in 1977 as a summer student with the City of Belleville. Since 2014 he has been employed as the Chief Administrative Officer for the County of Frontenac. Kelly is a graduate of Carleton University (B.A. Geography) and the University of Toronto (B.L.A. - Landscape Architecture and a full member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects) and Queen’s University (M.B.A.).

As a passionate advocate for local government Kelly is committed to open, transparent and accountable services to residents. In his career, he has been blessed to be involved in a number of community changing projects including waterfront development in Belleville and the 2010 Muskoka G8.
