Currently an Associate Professor of Artifacts Conservation in the Master of Art Conservation Program at Queen’s University, Dr. Emy Kim’s research focuses on sustainable materials, interventive treatments for plastics and metal heritage, history of metals technology, and collaborative learning.
Dr. Kim will provide background on conservators’ broad range of work, which may span from preventive care to treatment to research to heritage management. She will then share her own path into the field of heritage conservation, which continues to take interesting turns.
