On March 14, 2020, we will bring together Indigenous and non-Indigenous individuals to engage in discussions with experts about economic reconciliation, and the roles that we must play in that process. The theme of this year's conference is 'Investing in Indigenous Business'. This conference is for all Indigenous and non-Indigenous business and law students and faculty at Queen's University. We encourage those who are interested in business and law in Canada to register and join us. Tickets are $20 for Queen's students and $25 for non-students. All tickets include access to the full day of events as well as breakfast refreshments, lunch, and dinner at the University Club.
This conference is structured to encourage participants to see themselves as active participants in the national discussion of economic reconciliation. Our speakers and interactive workshops model positive partnerships between Indigenous communities, mainstream businesses, and Indigenous businesses, as well as discuss the obligations and opportunities that exist for these various partners. Through a day of workshops, panel discussions, and artistic and cultural expression, we hope to inspire these future leaders to see economic reconciliation as both a responsibility and an opportunity.
