Please join us for the presentation entitled 'Exploring Emergency Department and Urgent Care Experiences: A Qualitative Care Study with Women Who Use Criminalized Substances', presented by Marjan Kekanovich, RN MEd and Shaunessy Hickson. This event is free, and open to all.

Shaunessy Hickson is a core member of the advisory committee collaborating on this study. Drawing on her lived experience of substance use, she has played a foundational role in ensuring this work is grounded in real-world experiences and responsive to the community's needs and priorities.

Marjan Kekanovich is a registered nurse and PhD student in the School of Nursing at Queen's University. She brings over a decade of clinical experience working in public health and harm reduction, and her doctoral research explores the health care experiences of women who use criminalized substances.
