Queen's Senate will be holding a special meeting on March 7, 2017 to celebrate the first meeting of Senate, which took place on March 7, 1842. There will be an academic procession, an announcement from the Town Crier, a presentation on Queen's Royal Charter, and reflections on Senate moments from the past 175 years. Those interested in attending as visitors are asked to contact the University Secretariat.
