These talks are in conjuction with two exhibits from the Canadian Language Museum (www.languagemuseum.ca) that are  on display in the Stauffer Library foyer from November 11-18. The exhibits are Speaking the Inuit Way and Cree: The People’s Language. Both exhibits introduce viewers to a range of information, including details of the languages’ writing systems, aspects of their grammatical structures, variation across communities, and the future of the languages. The Cree exhibit also includes audio clips from dialects spoken in different communities across Canada.

This exhibition is sponsored in part by the Elizabeth MacKenzie Shemilt Fund for Indigenous Studies.
