Faculty and advanced PhD students are invited to join Khadija Coxon, an acquisitions editor at McGill-Queen’s University Press, for a book publishing workshop on Friday May 23 in Stauffer room 014 from 1-3 pm. 

The session will begin with an overview of the stages of publishing a book with a North American university press: 

• identifying a publisher for your manuscript project, 

• writing a book proposal, 

• transforming a dissertation into a book manuscript, 

• navigating the peer review process, 

• getting involved in marketing and promotion. 

The presentation will be followed by a questions and answers period, open to all topics related to scholarly publishing.
