What is the Matariki Network and How Can It Help You?

When:
Monday, February 3, 2020
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Where:
Mitchell Hall
Room: Event Commons
Find on Campus Map
Description:

The Matariki Network of Universities is an international group of leading, research intensive, like-minded universities, each amongst the most historic in its own country. Queen’s is one of seven members, spread across the world from Canada to New Zealand.

But what does this really mean for you? What connections do we have with these universities? And how can you benefit from these connections?

Join six panelists from across Queen’s as they share their experiences with the Matariki Network. You will hear from staff who have received funding to work on the other side of the world for a term; from PhD students who designed the academic content for an Indigenous student mobility program; from faculty members who have undertaken research and presented at workshops across the network; and from scholars at the BISC who confront global challenges, globally.

Come along to find out more about the network, hear from the panelists and engage with Matariki alumni in our living library.

Light refreshments will be served.

Presented by the Office of the Associate Vice-Principal (International) and the School of Graduate Studies.
