This talk discusses the importance of people’s relationship to land and to territory for a number of disciplines – constitutional law, indigenous rights, international relations, political science, analyses of gentrification, and more. It discusses the reasons behind this neglect, the extant theories of territory in the Western tradition, and how we might correct this.
