Description:

Join us for a Summer Solstice Walk Talk honouring relationships with the land through observation, seasonal teachings, and racooning (foraging practices). This outdoor Walk Talk invite participants to slow down and deepen their connection to place.

Beginning at Tsi Yakwanahstahsontéhrha, the Indigenous Outdoor Gathering Space, participants will spend time outdoors engaging with the more-than-human world through guided reflection, sensory awareness, and observation. Depending on what is encountered along the way, teachings and stories related to medicinal plant life, reciprocity, and seasonal relationships may be shared. Participants will reconnect with the land, reflect on their relationship to place, and experience the wellbeing benefits of spending intentional time outdoors in community.

What to expect:

• Spend time outdoors in reflection and observation
• Engage with the natural environment through sensory awareness
• Learn about seasonal teachings and relationships with the land
• Experience a slower, grounded, and community-oriented approach to wellbeing

Please note:

• These sessions will take place outdoors: dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes
