Interested in learning about the practice of medicine within correctional settings? We would like to invite you to our first event, “Caring in Confinement: A Physician Correctional Medicine Panel”. Join us for a discussion on healthcare delivery, continuity of care, and health equity in correctional settings.

The goal of the session is to expand students’ understanding of healthcare delivery for incarcerated populations, a group that is consistently underserved and experiences disproportionate burdens. Through facilitated discussion, students will learn about clinical experiences in correctional healthcare. Physicians will speak with Queen’s medical students about the unique challenges and responsibilities associated with providing care in secure environments.
