Rick Boswell serves as the Assistant Director of Programs and Operations with Queen’s Partnerships and Innovation (QPI). For almost a decade, Rick has helped oversee QPI’s startup incubation and acceleration programs, including InnovationXL, GrindspaceXL, Startup Runway and the Wings Accelerator Program.
Rick’s role has been pivotal in guiding startups from ideation to launch. He can offer strategic advice and/or connect clients with a variety of industry experts, investors, and mentors. His ability to match startups with the right resources and people has helped accelerate many startups over the years.
Before joining our QPI, Rick was instrumental in the design and development of the Chemistry department’s labs in Chernoff Hall.
Rick’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting entrepreneurs ensures startups reach their full potential, making him an integral part of our incubator-accelerator ecosystem.

What is one piece of advice you’d give a client before they reach out to QPI?
Be open to new ideas and advice – we have found that pivoting early on leads to a greater chance of success – and never be afraid to ask questions!
