I earned my PhD in Physics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), where my research focused on investigating the optical properties of defect centers in silicon as promising candidates for efficient single-photon sources. I also studied plasmon–exciton coupling in various quantum dot–gold nanoparticle assemblies, with the goal of developing ultrafast optical modulators.

Following my PhD, I completed a little over a year of postdoctoral research at the City University of New York (CUNY), where I investigated the applications of diamond defect centers for quantum sensing. At QNL, my research will focus on investigating the spin properties of telecom-band quantum dots.
