Astronomy Activities and Outreach

I greatly enjoy public outreach. Here is a brief summary of some of my outreach activities. This webpage is still under construction.

Queen's Observatory

I help organize events through the Queen's observatory such as open house nights (to return when we are in person again), the Perseverance Mars rover panel, Astronomy on Tap, science camps, and more.  For more information, please visit the Observatory webpage and their social media for up to date events.

2024 Solar Eclipse Planning

I am involved with several tasks forces organizing resources and outreach initiatives ahead of the 2024 solar eclipse.  Kingston will be in the path of totality of this eclipse. I aim to coordinate education resources with our partners at other universities, science centers, and science organizations.

Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST)

I volunteer with their e-mentoring program that introduces young women in high school to STEM careers.  For more information, please visit the SCWIST webpage.

Girls SySTEM

I volunteer with the Kingston branch of the Girls SySTEM mentoring program that aims to improve diversity in STEM careers.  For more information, please visit the Girls SySTEM webpage.
