Manulife Secure Site

Retiree Cards

If you are a retiree of Queen's University and meet the eligibility criteria, you will be issued a Retiree card. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for a Retiree card you must meet the following criteria: 

  • You must be a retiree
  • You have a minimum of five years of continuous service immediately prior to retiring 
  • You are at least 50 years of age
  • Your age plus services is equal to at least 65 

The Retiree card can be used for discounts with VIA Rail, select hotels and reduced ARC membership. For a list of vendor discounts, please visit Procurement Services website. The Retiree card may also be used for library access. When you visit the library, please show your Retiree card along with a piece of ID and a barcode will be added to your card. 

New retirees who meet the eligibility requirements will receive a Retiree card in the mail approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the date of retirement. 

If you would like to request a Retiree card, please email hradmin@queensu.ca with your name, employee number and year of retirement. If you are eligible, a Retiree card will be mailed to your home address. 

To replace a lost card, a $20.00 fee will be charged.
