TERMS OF USE for the Protocols

1. Introduction Welcome to Queen’s University/I.N.F.A.N.T. Research Lab. By accessing or using the Protocols provided on this platform, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. The Protocols are made available for free to health practitioners for educational and professional purposes. Please read these terms carefully. 

2. Acceptance of Terms By using the Protocols, you affirm that you are a qualified health practitioner and agree to abide by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the Protocols. 

3. Purpose and Scope The Protocols are intended to support health practitioners in delivering informed and effective care. It is not a substitute for professional judgment, training, or personalized patient care. Users are responsible for applying the Protocols in accordance with their professional standards and local regulations. 

4. Intellectual Property All content, including Protocols, text, graphics, and other materials, is the property of Queen’s University/ I.N.F.A.N.T. Research Lab or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. Users may: 

  • Use the Protocols for professional purposes. 

  • Share the Protocols with colleagues, provided the content remains unaltered and properly attributed. 

Users may not: 

  • Sell, redistribute, or otherwise exploit the Protocols for commercial purposes. 

  • Modify or create derivative works based on the Protocols without prior written consent. 

5. Disclaimer of Warranties The Protocols are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. While efforts are made to ensure accuracy, Queen’s University/ I.N.F.A.N.T. Research Lab does not guarantee that the Protocols are error-free or up to date. 

6. Limitation of Liability To the fullest extent permitted by law, Queen’s University/ I.N.F.A.N.T. Research Lab, shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of the Protocols, including but not limited to medical errors, malpractice, or harm to patients. 

7. User Responsibilities 

  • Verify that the Protocols are appropriate for your practice and jurisdiction. 

  • Stay updated on best practices, guidelines, and regulations relevant to your field. 

  • Use the Protocols in conjunction with your professional expertise and judgment. 

8. Modifications to Terms or Protocols Queen’s University/ I.N.F.A.N.T. Research Lab reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use or update the Protocols at any time. Users are encouraged to review these terms periodically. Continued use of the Protocols constitutes acceptance of any changes. 

9. Termination of Access Queen’s University/ I.N.F.A.N.T. Research Lab reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the Protocols for any user who violates these terms. 

10. Governing Law These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ontario, Canada.
