PhD candidate Daniel Ortiz Gallego has published an article in the Journal of Agrarian Change, the leading international journal in agrarian political economy. The article is adapted from a chapter of his dissertation supervised by Dr. Diana Córdoba.
The paper, "Between Autonomy and Dependency: The Territorialization of Agroecology in the Colombian Peasant Reserve Zones," explores the strategies of the peasant movement in Colombia to territorialize agroecology through self-organization and (inter)dependent social relations with the state, the market, and development institutions.
