Dr. Diana Córdoba, Associate Professor and Undergraduate Chair in Global Development Studies, was recently awarded an Insight Development Grant for her project in Community-Led Agroecological Innovations.

Insight Development Grants support research in its preliminary stages, allowing researchers to develop new research questions and explore new methods, theoretical approaches, or ideas. These grants are awarded over two years.

Dr. Córdoba's project, Developing a Territorial Learning Framework for Community-Led Agroecological Innovations, received $89 682. Her research interests focus on the study of social and environmental impacts of new practices, technologies, and models of rural and territorial development and the role played by the state, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), social movements and agrarian organizations in the implementation of these initiatives.
