Rebecca Hall, Associate Professor of Global Development Studies, has published an article in a special issue of Social Politics: International Studies in Gender, State and Society.

The special issue, edited by Dr. Shirin Rai and Dr. Stefanie Wohl, comes out of the work of the Pluralising Social Reproduction Approaches (PSRA) Network. The PSRA network is a transnational group of feminist scholars who study the unpaid and paid labours of making and caring for life. By working across disciplinary boundaries and interrogating the hierarchical relationship between the Global South/Global North, this special issue seeks to foreground diverse experiences of lifemaking.

Dr. Hall's contribution to this issue is informed by her work with Indigenous communities in Northern Canada. Her articles centres land in relations of social reproduction. Learning from Dene ontologies, she thinks through the role of land in daily provisioning, intergenerational learning, and expressing and reproducing ethical and socio-political commitments.
