Isaac Kurtzer

My current focus is to understand the process of target re-selection during ongoing movement. Our environment is replete with time-varying options which are only viable for a limited period and require deliberation on-the-fly such as when we navigate through a crowded train station and must choose among different routes. For this, my lab and collaborators have developed new techniques for examining single-trial corrections of reaching movements and examined the impact of intentional set and stimulus features on target re-selection. I also have several teaching responsibilities at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. These include lectures on the nervous system, a Biostatistics course for the DO/PhD and Academic Scholars/MS students, and directing our Neuroanatomy lab.

Role in lab:  Postdoctoral Fellow

Years in lab:  2003 - 2010
