Students entering the Queen’s Engineering Common First Year program explore all areas of engineering, with a guarantee that you can choose your engineering specialty when you move into second-year.
Our two direct entry programs provide the benefits of the broad Common First Year, with specific other advantages. Electrical and Computer Engineering Innovation students specialize with additional entrepreneurship and innovation skills, while Mechatronics & Robotics direct-entry students work with custom courses and progressive design projects, including an opportunity to get involved in AutoDrive, an international autonomous car competition.
