Queen's in the Community Partnering for Change

Through responsible and meaningful community engagement we can tackle the world’s most urgent challenges. No one person -- and no one institution -- can do it alone.

At a global level, Queen’s University is a member of several networks to amplify both our learning and our impact—particularly our work to advance the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. On a more local level, we are committed to deepening our relationship with local community members through meaningful partnerships with open and honest collaboration. It is in our own backyard where the UN SDGs are perhaps their most pronounced as these goals truly channel our desire to work alongside our community, improving and transforming lives for the better.

As a university for the future, we need to fully embed Queen’s in the community: building deliberate, strategic, respectful, and mutually beneficial engagement with communities outside the university, including Kingston, the region, and other organizations and institutions, while enhancing and extending our national and global connections to realize our shared vision.
