Tricolour pride was palpable in the Leon’s Centre Tuesday afternoon as graduating students and their supporters gathered for convocation. This ceremony was the first of six Queen’s will be hosting throughout the week, and approximately 4,200 graduates and an anticipated 12,500 or more supporters are expected to attend.

Engineer and Queen’s alumna Caroline Hargrove was on hand to receive an honorary degree and address the graduates. She is one of 10 people receiving an honorary degree during spring convocation.

Convocation continues throughout the week, wrapping up with a ceremony on Friday, June 23 at 10 am.

Queen’s is livestreaming all ceremonies for those who cannot attend in person. Streams will begin 15 minutes before ceremonies are scheduled to begin and recordings will be posted online after the ceremony.

All are welcome to cheer on the graduates on social media by using #queensugrad2023.

Livestreams, recordings, and more information about convocation can be found on the Office of the University Registrar website.
