The Queen's Student Alumni Association (QSAA) offers programs and events to help students develop leadership abilities, skills to succeed after graduation and in the workplace, and opportunities to network with alumni and join the alumni community. Learning from past graduates can help you discover industries and careers you didn't know about and connect you with job and networking opportunities. There are many opportunities for students to connect with alumni through alumni speaker events, mentorship programs, the Alumni Roadmaps, and more.

Mentorship Program

Mentorship program registration is closed.

The QSAA mentorship program pairs students with passionate alumni mentors who are ready and eager to support their mentee. Learn leadership skills, hear career advice, and gain insight into becoming an engaged member of the alumni community from your alumni mentor.

As a student mentee, you can ask questions, learn about careers, and connect with someone with similar interests to yourself. Students can meet with their mentors for one hour bi-weekly or monthly. Register to become a mentee from the start of the school year until mid-October.

Alumni mentors have the chance to connect with students and give them the advice they wish they had received. Register to be a mentor through to the end of September.

If you have any questions, contact our Mentorship Director, Haley Clark

Alumni Roadmaps

Do you ever wonder where Queen’s alumni end up after they graduate? Are you curious how they got there and what helped them achieve their success? Every year, a number of Queen’s alumni from a wide variety of careers come together to participate in the Alumni Roadmaps project.

Co-created by the QSAA and Career Services, the Alumni Roadmaps were designed to provide a snapshot of important career information gathered from interviews with Queen’s alumni. For the benefit of current students and recent alumni, each roadmap contains career advice and insights from the alumni, along with impactful skills and experiences that helped them achieve their career success. See how they were involved at Queen’s, and what inspired them to be where they are today.

Road to Graduation

The road to graduation starts the moment you begin the first day of your final year as a student and ends when you receive your degree at convocation. While your time at Queen's was part of one journey, the QSAA's Road to Graduation program aims to celebrate your time as a student and set you on the road to becoming part of the alumni community.

The Road to Graduation program is designed to guide graduating students through their final year at Queen's. Throughout the year, students will have the chance to enter draws, giveaways, and attend events designed to help transition students to the alumni network. Keep checking this page for events and contest information. Details will be released as they are confirmed.

Gaels of the Last Decade

Gaels of the Last Decade (GOLD) is a fully online program dedicated to highlighting the journey of young alumni and recent graduates of the past ten years as they pursue new careers.

This series focuses on different career paths and offers guidance on finding the path right for you after graduation. Learn about workplace culture, how to ensure your financial stability, and the ways in which alumni speakers found the courage and strength to pursue their dreams.

Spirit Corner

Each year, thousands of alumni return to Kingston to celebrate Homecoming, reconnect with classmates, and learn about university initiatives, research, and the exciting work being done across campus. The QSAA hosts Spirit Corner during Homecoming celebrations. This annual event includes face painting, sign making, and a communal banner which is marched during the Alumni Parade to Richardson Stadium by students and alumni and led by Queen's Bands.
