Students for a short time ... alumni for a lifetime.

The Queen's Student Alumni Association (QSAA) is a student-run organization that prepares students for success by connecting them to their future lives as engaged Queen's alumni.

Founded in 1986, STAR (The Queen’s Student Team on Alumni Relations), was the first student-run organization that promoted student-alumni engagement at Queen’s. In September of 2008, STAR was restructured as the Queen’s Student Alumni Association (QSAA) to better transition students into members of the Queen’s University Alumni Association (QUAA).

Working out of Summerhill, our volunteer student ambassadors work alongside the Department of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving and the Queen's University Alumni Association (QUAA) Board.

The QSAA aims to connect students to their future as engaged alumni, by facilitating workshops, programming, panels and events. Every year QSAA provides professional development programming through theBackpack to Briefcase events, as well as hosts many Alumni Speaker Events to inspire current students. In the past, QSAA has brought back successful alumni including NASA Astronaut Drew Feustel and Dragon’s Den star Michele Romanow. We also host events that encourage students to celebrate their Queen’s pride, such as Spirit Corner at Homecoming and GradBash for graduating students.
