December 6th Memorial Ceremony

Please join the Queen's Engineering Society as they host the annual December 6th Memorial ceremony. They will be honoring the 14 women who lost their lives in the École Polytechnique Massacre and observing the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. This memorial serves as an opportunity to pay tribute to their memory while reflecting on the broader impact of the tragedy on the engineering community.  

The event will be held in the Beamish-Munro Hall Atrium on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. This event is open to all who would be interested in attending. The ceremony includes a Rose Ceremony, speeches, a highlight of the Art Memorial, and special performances by the Caledonias Acapella Group. A catered reception will follow, providing a chance to connect and continue reflecting on the themes of the day.
