Event Details: Anishinaabe foodways are knowledge rich, intertwining ecological knowledge, biology, chemistry, nutrition, and physiology. Beyond the intertwining of Indigenous and western knowledges these foodways simultaneously connect the past, future, and present within the context of history, impacts of settler colonialism, and reconciliation. Inendaagwad wiisiniwin, Food for Thought will provide insights using Anishinaabe foodways as entry points to STEAM education, sustainability, and critical environmental and social issues.
