Centre faculty associate John McGarry became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada on November 27, 2010. Dr. McGarry holds the Canada Research Chair in Nationalism and Democracy in the Department of Political Studies, and is a leading member of the Ethnicity and Democratic Governance research project. His election to the Royal Society recognizes his work as an international authority on conflict resolution, power-sharing and federalism.
