Alex Cuba to receive an Honourary Degree from Queen's University.
Renowned musician Alex Cuba will receive an honorary degree from Queen’s University during the Fall Convocation ceremony on Wednesday October 12th. He was nominated by Karen Dubinsky and Susan Lord who are the instructors of the Cuban Culture and Society courses (DEVS 306/307).
A multiple Juno, Latin Grammy and Grammy award winning singer/songwriter, Alex Cuba has made Smithers British Colombia his home for over 20 years. This Honorary Degree recognizes his ongoing importance in the Canadian music world.
His visit to Kingston includes a solo concert at the Queen’s Grad Club that night, tickets available online.
