Welcome to Faith and Spiritual Life

  • Cooking with Chaplains generic image

Want to up your cooking skills, learn some great recipes, connect with students from across the university and enjoy a delicious meal together? Then Faith and Spiritual Life’s Cooking with Chaplains is for you! We will provide the knowledge and the recipes, and you bring the ingredients and enthusiasm.Together we’ll create an affordable, home-cooked, yummy supper.

From the comforts of our own kitchens and linked via ZOOM, we’ll cook for the first hour or so and then enjoy the meal, conversation and community together. We'll make generous quantities, so you’ll have lots to share with friends, freeze, and/or eat up later in the week.

Feeling stretched financially? We offer grocery subsidies to anyone who would benefit from them (just click the button on the registration form). Register now for one, a couple or ALL of the sessions!

  • Kate Johnson on Remembrance Day 2014

Due to current public health restrictions related to the ongoing pandemic, and to protect each other by not gathering, Queen’s University did not host an in-person Remembrance Day service on November 11, 2020.

Instead, everyone was encouraged to watch this message from Queen’s Chaplain Kate Johnson, participate in the Royal Canadian Legion’s Remembrance Day Ceremony live-streamed on Facebook, observe two minutes of silence, write letters to active military members or veterans, and donate to the Virtual Poppy campaign to receive their digital poppy.

As we consider what we can do to keep this pandemic from overwhelming our society, we will honour the sacrifices past and present of all those who serve.
