Alfred and Isabel Bader have enjoyed a busy couple of days on campus, reconnecting with old friends, meeting with students, and spending time on the campus where evidence of their generosity is everywhere.

The most generous benefactors in Queen’s history, Alfred (Sc’45, Arts’45, MSc’47, LLD’86) and Isabel (LLD’07) Bader are in town to accept the Alumni Achievement Award, the highest honour bestowed by the Queen’s University Alumni Association.

After arriving on Thursday afternoon, the couple spent time at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre, which houses many paintings donated by the Baders. On Friday, they toured the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, set to open on the Kingston waterfront in September 2014.

Alfred and Isabel Bader will receive their award from the Queen’s University Alumni Association on Saturday evening.
