Flags on campus remain lowered for Harold Blackmore

Flags on campus remain lowered in memory of Harold “Blackie” Blackmore, CD, a long-serving staff member at Queen’s.

Mr. Blackmore was a 28-year veteran of the Canadian Forces and served a further 16 years at Queen’s University.

In keeping with Mr. Blackmore’s wishes, cremation will be immediate. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, 1900 John Counter Blvd, on Saturday, May 4 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment at Cataraqui Cemetery.

A reception will follow the service in the James Reid Reception Centre. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation’s Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario, or St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, in Mr. Blackmore's memory.
