Flags on campus are lowered in memory of Robert (Bob) Henry Hewett, retired senior construction project manager in the Physical Plant Services (PPS) department of Queen’s University.

Mr. Hewett came to Canada from England in 1948, at the age of 21. He accepted a position with Queen’s PPS department in 1967 and retired as Senior Construction Project Manager in 1992. Among the largest and most significant of the projects he managed was the construction of Botterell Hall, which was completed in 1979.

A family internment service will be held in Kingston at Cataraqui Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation’s Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario, or the Canadian Diabetes Association, would be appreciated.
