Alice Aiken, professor in the Queen’s School of Rehabilitation Therapy and Director of the Canadian Institute for Military and Veterans Health Research, leads a session at the Knowledge Translation for Global Health Summer Institute. Held recently at Queen’s, the week-long summer session had the aim of bridging the gap between what we know about global health and social problems, and what is being done to solve them.

The summer institute is offered through the Queen’s Global Development Studies Certificate Program, in partnership with the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Office of Global Health, and the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research. Institute Participants came from backgrounds spanning diverse fields such as nursing, global development studies, engineering, and public health. They attended sessions with prominent facilitators from Queen’s and around the world.
