Queen’s University and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Local 901, Unit 2, representing post doctoral fellows, reached a tentative first collective agreement after negotiations with the assistance of a provincial conciliation officer.

Negotiations for the first collective agreement between Queen’s and PSAC Unit 2 began in April, 2012 and the parties entered the conciliation process on September 5, 2013.

“The negotiating teams for both PSAC and the university have worked very hard over the past 18 months, resulting in a tentative agreement that is acceptable to both parties,” said Dan Bradshaw, Associate Vice-Principal (Faculty Relations).

The tentative agreement will now proceed through the ratification process, including meetings of the PSAC Unit 2 membership and a subsequent ratification vote. Once finalized by the parties, the first collective agreement will be posted on the university’s Faculty Relations and Human Resources websites.
