It has been a busy week for the Canadian digital tech and AI sector – the G7 meeting of digital and technology ministers in Montreal, a series of new digital agreements with Germany and the EU, and a massive $7.5 billion investment over the next two years by Microsoft.
Queen’s University’s Ryan Grant, a leading expert in secure supercomputing and AI Exascale infrastructure, is available to provide analysis of what these developments mean for Canada, and can also offer a lookahead for its tech sector, including digital sovereignty, AI, and tech talent attraction.
Grant recently wrote an opinion piece, published by the Globe and Mail, on the importance of Canada building its own supercomputers in the interest of “sovereignty, security and prosperity in the 21st century.”
