The Donald Gordon Hotel and Conference Centre has been accredited as a Rainbow Registered organization by the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce for its commitment to sexual and gender diversity.

The Rainbow Registered program signifies that organizations are LGBT+ inclusive for both staff and guests. The program is based on criteria that define the required standards of practice and are informed by national guidelines.

To meet the assessment standards, the Donald Gordon Hotel and Conference Centre was required to present evidence of non-discriminatory policies and procedures, training on diversity and inclusion, commitment to inclusive leadership, and an established culture of inclusivity.

The new accreditation will compliment existing efforts to promote inclusivity, and sexual and gender diversity on campus such as the Positive Space program.  

The Donald Gordon Hotel and Conference Centre is among 116 businesses across Canada to receive the accreditation, and will further position the Centre as a welcoming environment for meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events.
