The Queen’s community is remembering graduate student Gail Anne Scott, who passed away on Oct. 30. She was a PhD candidate in the Aging and Health program at the School of Rehabilitation Therapy in Queen’s Health Sciences.

She began studying at Queen’s in 2021 and was preparing to complete her dissertation in the coming months. Prior to Queen’s, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Prince Edward Island and a Master of Science in gerontology from the University of Missouri. She had also worked for Health PEI, the agency responsible for the delivery of publicly funded health services in Prince Edward Island, Gail’s home province.

Members of the School of Rehabilitation Therapy say Gail was a light in her field and was focused on deeply important work.

A celebration of life will be held for Gail on Saturday, Nov. 7, 1-4 pm at the Belvedere Funeral Home in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

A family obituary is available online.
