Catherine Donnelly

Catherine is an Associate Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Therapy and Director of the Health Services and Policy Research Institute, Queen’s University. She will provide oversight of the entire project and lead the key informant interviews, document analysis and deliberative dialogues.

Joan Almost

Joan is a Professor at the School of Nursing, Queen’s University, and Scholar in Residence with Canadian Nurses Association. She brings significant research experience in the area of health human resources, quality practice environments and health services research. She will provide project oversight and lead the document analysis.

Morgan Slater

Morgan is a Research Scientist with the Health Services and Policy Research Institute and Assistant Professor (Adjunct) with the Department of Family Medicine at Queen’s University and an Adjunct Scientist at ICES. She will co-lead the application of an HHR planning framework to the case study.

Chris is the Executive Vice President (Medical) and Chief Medical Officer at Ontario Health. He is also an Affiliate Scientist with the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES-Queen’s) and a member of the Queen’s School of Policy Studies Health Policy Council. He will provide contextual expertise.

Anne is a Patient and Family Advisory Council Member for Kingston Health Sciences Centre and will ensure that the patient voice is included within the work.

Jane Philpott

Jane is the Chair of the New Primary Care Action Team in Ontario. She was the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Queen’s University, and CEO of the Southeastern Ontario Academic Medical Organization (SEAMO). She will provide contextual expertise.

Duncan is an internationally recognized leader in healthcare reform, an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a member of the Order of Canada. He currently sits on the FLA OHT Partnership Council. He will provide contextual expertise.

Annie is a Bachelor of Health Sciences student at Queen's University. As a research assistant for the Health Services and Policy Research Institute (HSPRI), she assists in data collection, management and analysis for eventual application of a HHR planning framework for policy recommendations.

Alisa is a student at Queen’s University completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with a minor in Black Studies. She currently works as a Research Assistant for the Health Services and Policy Research Institute (HSPRI), wherein her role includes data collection, document analysis, and report preparation for policy recommendations.

Vaska Jones

Vaska is a Nurse Practitioner from Toronto with a career in nursing spanning more than 30 years. She is currently enrolled in the Nursing PhD program in the School of Nursing at Queen’s University. Vaska is currently focused on her dissertation examining nurse leader credibility from the point-of-care nurse perspective and providing research support as a graduate research fellow on this project.

Raquel Ramos

Raquel is a Registered Nurse with a Master of Nursing Science degree from Queen’s University. She recently completed her thesis research project on nursing retention. Raquel has worked as a nurse for over 10 years in hospital settings on Medical-Surgical and Renal units - both abroad and within two Canadian provinces and one territory. She is interested in healthcare policy and health systems research to improve the working lives of healthcare providers and ultimately improve patient care.
