Mass Spectrometers
SCIEX ZenoTOF 7600
A high-resolution, accurate-mass quadrupole time-of-flight (qTOF) instrument featuring a Zeno trap to boost MS/MS sensitivity and Electron-Activated Dissociation (EAD) for richer, more informative fragmentation. It's suited to discovery work, structural elucidation, and distinguishing closely related molecules such as lipid isomers.
SCIEX Echo
An ultra-high-throughput platform that pairs acoustic droplet ejection with an Open Port Interface to feed samples directly into a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer, analyzing a sample roughly every second without chromatography. It's built for rapid screening of large sample sets
SCIEX 4500 QqQ
A tandem mass spectrometer with three quadrupoles (a mass filter, a collision cell, and a second mass filter) used for sensitive, targeted quantitation by multiple reaction monitoring (MRM). It's the workhorse for measuring known compounds accurately across many samples.
3D Printers
Prusa i3 MK3
A workhorse open-source fused-deposition (FDM) 3D printer with a ~250 × 210 × 210 mm build volume, used to fabricate the custom hardware behind our research. Its reliability and large community of open designs make it well suited to prototyping sample introduction systems, imaging platforms, and other instrument components in-house
Prusa Mini +
A compact FDM 3D printer (~180 × 180 × 180 mm build volume) that complements our larger machine for smaller parts and rapid iteration. Its small footprint makes it convenient for quick prototyping and printing fine, low-volume components
