Dr. Norma Möllers was successful in her SSHRC Insight Grant application: Infrastructuring the State: Materiality, Morality, Sovereignty. The research will investigate how and with what consequences the State mobilizes science and technology to produce and maintain state power vis-a-vis problems caused by Big Tech. Congratulations!

Sociology PhD Alumni, Midori Ogasawara, published a new book entitled Snowden Japan File: How Japan has been involved with America's Global Surveillance Systems on September 7th in Japan. She also launched a book tour in Japan in August and gave five public talks in the cities of Tokyo, Yokohama, Fukuoka and Nagasaki.
