With over 170 years of service to Canada and the world, Queen's is one of Canada's most prestigious universities, with academic and admission standards second to none. But the Queen's experience goes beyond the quality of our students and the exceptional learning environment.
Participation, community involvement and leadership are cornerstones of the Queen's experience, both in and out of the classroom. Our students have the opportunity to experience a changing world, whether at the International Study Centre in England, through one of our many academic exchange programs around the world or within the dynamic residential experience on campus. Queen's students are renowned for their commitment to academic life as well as their enthusiastic participation in other activities available to them on campus, including 220 student clubs and organizations and one of the largest and most diverse varsity sports programs in North America.
Our academic programs are innovative and rigorous and our faculty are committed to providing students with top-notch instruction and a wide array of learning opportunities. With an undergraduate enrolment of about 13,000 students and an overall enrollment of just over 20,000 students, including part-time and graduate students, Queen's is small enough to preserve a strong sense of community yet large enough to allow for a rich variety of course offerings, and intellectual challenges. All members of the Queen's community - students, faculty, staff and alumni - pride themselves on our vision of preparing citizens and leaders for a global society. I hope to welcome you to this vibrant and close-knit community. It's a relationship that could last a lifetime.
