THEFT
FROM VEHICLE:
December 27, 11:07 pm: Miller Hall - Campus Security was informed a
vehicle had been broken into while parked on Union Street outside Miller
Hall. The Security Supervisor met with the owner who stated he and a
friend had been inside the building to use a printer and exited the building
to see an unknown man standing at their car with the door open. He quickly
rode off on a red bicycle when they yelled at him and disappeared.
The suspect was a Caucasian in his late 20s with average height and
build. At the time of this incident he was wearing khaki pants and a blue
& white striped shirt.
A black backpack was stolen from inside the vehicle. On January 2nd, the
owner was contacted by Military Police who reported finding his backpack -
however all contents aside from his ID were missing.
December 17, 6:20 pm: Campus - A vehicle was broken into while
parked on Collingwood Street near Gordon Brockington House. The
passenger window was smashed and a wallet stolen from inside.
BREAK-IN
/ THEFT (QUEEN'S PROPERTY):
December 22, Campus - A number of computer CPUs were stolen from a
lab on main campus. Department contacts and Kingston City Police were
contacted and are investigating the incident.

MEDICAL
ASSISTANCE:
December 15, 6:10 pm: Residences - An ambulance was requested
for a student who kicked his foot through a glass door while wearing flip
flops. Ambulance dispatch was contacted and Security staff applied first
aid treatment to his injured foot until paramedics arrived and transported him
to KGH.
BREAK-IN
/ THEFT (PERSONAL PROPERTY):
December 13, 6:50 pm: Macintosh Corry - A student reported her pink iPod
may have been stolen from inside the MacCorry cafeteria within the previous
two hours.
BICYCLE
/ BIKE PARTS THEFT:
December 12, 9:30 am: McArthur Hall - A student reported a bicycle was
stolen from West Campus sometime during the previous night while secured to
the racks with a lock. It is a pink & teal "Murray USA" brand
bicycle - serial# 4-9777X92-031694 .
December 7, 12:00 pm: Biosciences Complex - Campus Security was
informed parts were stolen from his bicycle while it was secured to the
building's bike racks over the past week. The forks, front brakes, and a
light on the handle bars were stolen from a Gary Fisher "Mullett".
December 3, 4:50 pm: Waldron Tower - A bicycle was stolen from
inside the Residence during the previous evening by two females. It is a small
"Hauffman" BMX stunt bike, dark gray w/ black forks & handlebars
and a deflated back tire.
FIRE
(ALARM) RELATED:
December 7, 5:04 pm: Jean Royce Hall - The fire alarm activated due
to burnt food from a 3rd floor kitchen.
December 6, 9:25 pm; Jean Royce Hall - The fire alarm system
was activated when the ERC received a report of smoke from an electrical
panel. Two areas were found in a similar state and the building was emptied
until 11:03 pm.
December 4, 1:45 am: Victoria Hall - A fire alarm activated in
the Residence after two fire extinguishers were discharged in the bathroom and
B wing stairwell. After the air in that area completely cleared at
around 4:40 am, an attempt was made to reset the fire system which
reactivated. It was soon determined that activation was caused by a smoke detector
on the 6th floor of E wing. The system was reset again and a Fire Watch set up
until Physical Plant Services could permanently restore the alarm system later
that morning.
MISCHIEF UNDER $5000:
December 4, 3:45 pm: Campus - Campus Security was informed a vehicle
had its rear window smashed out while parked in a lot on main campus.
Kingston City Police were also informed of the incident.
December 2, Mackintosh Corry Hall - Two vehicles were vandalized
with red spray paint while parked in the MacCorry Parking lot during the
weekend.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or persons in campus lots
during these periods is asked to call the Emergency Report Center at
613-533-6111.
SUSPICIOUS
PERSONS / ACTIVITY:
December 4, 1:11 am: Off Campus - A student reported on
separate occasions he and a friend were followed and yelled at by occupants of
a vehicle encountered near the waterfront south of main campus. The
occupants in one of those incidents were described as being four males, two
with long hair, all in their late 20s or early 30s. The vehicle was a blue,
circa 1999 or 2000 sedan - perhaps a Malibu (in a similar previous incident,
the vehicle was Intrepid).
UNAUTHORIZED
ACTIVITY:
December 3, 5:08 am: Stauffer Library - The building's Commissionaire
informed Campus Security four male individuals had just disrobed in a washroom
and then streaked through the library before fleeing the scene.
