ARCHIVE: June 2007

BICYCLE / BIKE PARTS THEFT:

June 27, 5:15 pm: Watts Hall - A student reported his bike was stolen from the bicycle racks it was secured to outside. It is a black, 15 speed bike with silver brake handles and a rusty water bottle holder. 

June 24, 11:11 am: An Clachan Complex - A caller reported his black & red Supercycle was stolen from the bike racks near building one.

June 24, 9:05 am: Chernoff Hall - Campus Security was informed two bicycles were stolen from where they'd been locked together with the bike rack.  The bicycle's were described as: (1) a blue man's Giant mountain bike and (2) a maroon woman's Cycle-mania mountain bike hybrid.

June 22, 4:20 pm: Policy Studies Building - A caller reported his orange/brown Kona mountain bike was stolen sometime between that morning and noon.

June 21, 3:40 pm: Miller Hall/Bruce Wing - A student reported her bicycle was stolen while locked to the bike racks outside Miller Hall.  It is a blue and silver women's Norco mountain bike that has a speedometer bracket but no speedometer in it.

June 18, 8:08 pm: Stauffer Library - A caller reported his dark green bicycle was stolen from the front of the library.

June 15, 4:50 pm: JDUC - Caller reports that his bike was stolen today from the bike racks in front of the JDUC. He reports that it is a blue and silver bike with a baggage pouch underneath the seat.

June 7, 10:40 pm: Goodes Hall - A caller reported his locked bike was stolen sometime within the previous four hours. It is a green 20" frame Supercycle mountain bike with front and back suspension.


THEFT / BREAK-IN (PERSONAL PROPERTY):

June 22, 7:27 pm, PhysEd Centre - A caller reported his LG laptop computer was stolen while accidentally left in an unlocked locker for about 25 minutes..

June 15, 9:50 am: West Campus - A staff member reported a laptop was stolen from his office.  It is a silver Sony VAIO laptop computer, serial# 3170116289 .

June 7, 9:35 am: Goodes Hall - A staff member reported his cell phone was stolen sometime during the previous day. He later notified Campus Security that city police had retrieved his property after a high speed chase involving the suspected thief.


SUSPICIOUS PERSONS:

June 15, 10:25 am: Mackintosh Corry Hall - A staff member reported seeing a suspicious male individual peeking into open offices, possibly in search of unattended property to steal. 

He was described as being in his 30s with shoulder length brown curly hair, average height, with a heavy build. At the time of this incident he was wearing mirror sunglasses, had an iPod, and a black laptop computer case.


MISCHIEF UNDER $5000 (PERSONAL PROPERTY):

June 1, 4:12 pm: Campus - The ERC was informed a vehicle had been vandalized while parked in a lot on the north side of Stauffer Library. Its front decal/ornament was broken off and hub caps removed.
