MEDICAL ASSISTANCE:

April 29, 11:50 am: Union Street Parking Lot - Campus Security & Regional Ambulance attended to the Tindall surface parking lot where a student  rode his bicycle through a glass vestibule and down a flight of stairs leading to the underground levels of the lot. He was subsequently transported to KGH for treatment.


ATTEMPTED BREAK-IN:

April 29, 3:08 am: Student Housing Area -A student residing north of main campus reported attempted break-ins at one and possibly two houses on Alfred Street. In both incidents the perpetrator removed window screens with intent to gain entry into the homes. Kingston City Police were also contacted and are investigating.

A suspect was described as a thin Asian male in his 20s who was wearing glasses and carrying a long silver cylindrical object.

April 28, 7:10 pm: Jean Royce Hall - A student reported someone removed the screen on his window last night in an apparent attempt to gain access. The person was unsuccessful due to the interior window being locked.

April 27, 11:55 pm: Jean Royce Hall - A student contacted the ERC to report someone had attempted to gain access to their room by taking out the window screen, but was unsuccessful due to the interior window being locked.


BICYCLE / BIKE PARTS THEFT:

April 28, 6:53 pm: Mackintosh Corry Hall - A caller reported the front and rear disc brake calipers were stolen off his bicycle while it was locked up outside the building.

April 28, 4:20 pm: Jeffrey Hall - A student reported a wheel was stolen off his bicycle while the frame was secured to the racks outside. Another wheel was left beside the bike, likely by the thief.

April 27, 7:04 pm: Stauffer Library - A student reported her yellow bicycle was stolen from where she had secured it with a cable lock outside.

April 18, 00:11 am: Stauffer Library - The ERC was informed that a blue men's bike with a pink lock, thin wheels and a broken pedal was stolen from outside the library between 8pm and midnight.

April 17, 10:00 pm: Stauffer Library - A student reported his bicycle was stolen sometime between 10am and 5pm that day. It was described as being a 2007 green KONA mountain bike with an orange turtle on the top bars.

April 8, 9:41 pm: Stirling Hall - A student reported his blue 21 speed "Dyno Supercycle" (with red coil seat suspension, a light under the seat, and slightly bent handlebars) was stolen from where he had chain locked it to the bike racks.

April 7, 1:50 pm: Botterell Hall - A staff member reported his black w. red/grey Fuji Newest 1.0 road bicycle was stolen from where he had cable locked it to the bike racks outside. (serial# ICFSE00346)

April 6, 10:19 pm: Dupuis Hall - A caller reported their blue & silver bicycle was stolen while left locked to the bike racks sometime after 6:30 pm.  They report other cut locks nearby may indicate other bicycles were also stolen.

April 2, 2:25 pm: Mackintosh Corry Hall - Caller reported their green colour bicycle (with a broken handle bar) was stolen from where she had locked it to the bike racks a few days earlier.

April 1, Humphrey Hall - The ERC received a report of a bike theft that occurred on March 29 sometime between 11:00am to 5:00pm. It is a Trek hybrid bicycle with full black fenders and a custom rack on the back. Serial number: WTU005C0476A .

April 1, Stauffer Library- A student reported their bicycle was stolen from outside Stauffer Library sometime between 9:00pm on Wednesday March 31st and 1:30am on Thursday April 1st.  It is a Raleigh Inferno mountain bike, with a silver frame, black handle bars, and a yellow front wheel (hub and rim). Serial number: YF00K00449 .


THEFT (QUEEN'S PROPERTY):

April 29, 1:31 pm: Campus - A MacBook laptop computer was reported stolen from an office. Its serial number is #SW88510ML5L9 .

April 28, 1:52 am: Residences - Campus Security was called to to a Residence common room where a group of student age males were believed to have stolen a DVD player and attempted to steal a plasma TV but were unable to fit it through the window.

Kingston City Police also attended the scene, collected evidence, and are investigating.

April 27, 6:00 am: Botterell Hall - A custodian contacted Campus Security to report two or more class photos from the 1940s and '50s were stolen from a hallway where they were mounted. Evidence from the scene was collected and Kingston City Police are investigating.


UNAUTHORIZED ACTIVITY:

April 26, 1:12 pm: School of Kinesiology - A staff member contacted the ERC to report two males climbing the north exterior wall of the building.  Security staff responded and confirmed two males without ropes or significant safety equipment scaling the wall. The two males, one who claimed to be a Queen's student, were informed that activity is prohibited on University property and they left campus.


ATTEMPTED THEFT:

April 24, 2:20 am: Stauffer Library - The library Commissionaire contacted security to report being in possession of a suspected stolen laptop computer with a student detained. Campus Security attended and determined the identity of the laptop owner, who was contacted and confirmed his computer was stolen during a party earlier that night. Kingston City Police also attended to take a report.


BREAK IN / THEFT (PERSONAL PROPERTY):

April 23, 8:20 pm: Macintosh Corry Hall - The ERC was informed three laptop computers and an iPod were stolen from a office/study room sometime between 7:05 and 7:35 pm. The stolen computers included two silver and one white (with a large pink and black flower sticker on it) MacBook / Pros. They may have been taken from the area inside a large dark red & grey Northface backpack, also missing from the room.

April 23, 11:00 pm: Exam Area - A student reported their black & blue LG RD405 laptop computer was stolen while they wrote an exam between 7 and 10 pm.

April 22, 5:20 pm: Exam Area - A student reported her brown canvas shoulder bag and its contents were stolen from outside an exam hall between 2pm and 4pm.

April 22, 4:25 pm: Exam Area - A student reported their black shoulder purse and its contents were stolen from outside an exam hall between 2pm and 4:20 pm that day.

April 21, 10:25 pm: Exam Area - Campus Security was informed a purse was stolen from the hallway outside an exam hall.  It is a purple & red purse that contained a wallet and a cell phone. The caller was advised to also file a report with Kingston City Police.

April 20, 5:05 pm: Exam Area - A student reported a black Nokia cell phone and a green iPod Nano were stolen from her bag while it was left outside an exam hall between 2pm and 5pm that day.  The caller was advised to also file a report with Kingston City Police.

April 20, 3:40 pm: Exam Area - Campus Security was contacted by a student who reported she left the exam hall to find the contents of her purse strewn around the hallway.  Items missing from her purse include an iPhone, bank cards and ID, and a small amount of cash. The caller was advised to also file a report with Kingston City Police.

April 20, 11:42 am: Exam Area - A student reported her purse and its contents was stolen while left unattended with other bags outside an exam area. The caller was advised to also file a report with Kingston City Police.

April 13, 7:40 pm: Leonard Hall - A student reported their white (w. colored flowers) leather jacket was stolen from the Residence cafeteria five days earlier.

April 9, 7:00 pm: Miller Hall - Two callers reported their laptop computers were stolen from the building while left briefly unattended. Report also filed with Kingston Police.

One of the computers is a 2008 MacBook (Serial# W88062900P1) and the other a HP Media Centre.

April 5, 7:36 pm: Stauffer Library - A student reported her black HP laptop computer was stolen after being left unattended for a few minutes.


MISCELLANEOUS:

April 23, 12:30 pm: Mackintosh Corry Hall - A faculty member called the ERC to report having spotted a student age female laying face down in the wood chips of a planter on the south side of the building.  The individual appeared conscious and responsive when observed by the caller, but she was gone by the time Security staff arrived a few minutes later.


FIRE / FIRE ALARM:

April 21, 4:55 pm: Mackintosh Corry Hall - Campus Security & the Kingston Fire Department responded to a dumpster fire outside MacCorry Hall.

April 5, 11:30 am: Mackintosh Corry Hall - Campus Security, KFD, and other departments were called to attend a grease fire in the cafeteria. Kitchen staff had immediately extinguished the fire, and KFD requested the system be restored soon after arriving.


THEFT FROM VEHICLE:

April 15, 6:55 pm: Stuart Street Underground Parking Garage - Campus Security was informed a vehicle had its rear window smashed while parked in the lot, and a laptop computer, purse, and wallet were stolen from inside.


DISORDERLY CONDUCT:

April 11, 1:34 am: Leonard Field - The ERC received a report that more than a half dozen student age males were emptying fire extinguishers onto the field outside Leonard Hall. The individuals fled the scene and were not located, however later that morning a half dozen University extinguishers were found down by the waterfront nearby.

April 10, 10:34 pm: Campus - An individual was detained by Campus Security after a series of blue light Emergency Phones were activated maliciously. He refused to provide ID so Kingston City Police were contacted to attend. They arrived soon afterwards, identified the individual as a student, and took him into custody for public intoxication.
